The core of the Open Coil mattress is made from single springs fixed together by one wire on a mesh frame, which means the springs move as one unit, with upholstered layers of sumptuous fillings to provide comfort.
Our open coil mattresses vary in firmness, dependant on the guage of springs used, the density of fillings, the tufting and the tick.
The thicker the guage of spring, the firmer the mattress (13.5 Gauge – Soft mattress, 13.0 Gauge – Medium and 12.5 Gauge – Firm).
The density of the fillings varies from mattress to mattress. We encourage our clients to test our mattresses in store, to find the perfect bed for them and which will then be especially tailor-made to order.
